DIFC DIFC is the world's newest international financial centre. It aims to develop the same stature as New York, London and Hong Kong and primarily serves the vast region between Western Europe and East Asia. Developments around the DIFC have been scanty, but pricey. Projects like Park Towers, and Sky Gardens have proved successful in their marketing strategy, but have they been good investments? Default Advice on moving to Dubai with family - 07-03-2007, 11:51 AM

It looks like we are going to be moving to Dubai in June, my son will be one year old and my wife will not be working when we are out there. Could I please have some advice on the following :

- If working in the DIFC, where would you advice to live with shortish commute and what would the cost to buy/rent a villa with pool

- Is £90K per annum sterling realistic to lead a good life and not be to skin

Thanks in advance

Are you kidding? £90K per year is nearly AED 54k per month, which will put you in the earnings stratosphere compared to about 99% of people here. You could live in a huge villa, run a couple of brand-new Mercs, spend a bit of mad money and still shove a thousand quid (at least) into the savings account each month.

If you work in DIFC then Murooj would be heaven for you.
You could (if you're lucky, get an enormous 3 bed apartment) and then enjoy all of the facilities they have on site.

Yes...if there wasn’t years of being on a waiting list.

Been trying to get another place back in there but there is more chance of you moving into Burj Dubai or the World before getting a place at Al Marooj
