| Hi Guys Just wondering if there has been any news of changes in rules at Jebel Ali as the construction work there seems to be advancing quickly. I was down there last Saturday and its a full on construction site from the Hotel to Ghantoot. Completely different to Friday when everyone is off work. Cheers for any update |

| Hi , Indeed, construction is well underway for the Dubai Waterfront development, but if I'm not mistaken, the beach is still "unofficially" accessible for the sport. Surfing there was never advocated in the first place, however, and to answer your question, you may do so until it is "officially" declared otherwise.. Do not quote me on this, but since I had recently enrolled to Nakheel as a sales executive, I hear rumors about the beach potentially remaining as a site for kite surfers even post development completion. Some say that the beach will be transformed into a project-exclusive facility, while others argue that since our sport does in fact yield, to a considerable extent, a tourist attraction element, it will remain functional for a good time to come. Worst case scenario, moving to the far left to somewhere around Ghantoot area should hopefully open a window of opportunity for us... |
