Default Al Barari - 21-03-2007, 10:10 AM

AED 2.4 billion eco-tourism project – Al Barari – is being built at Dubailand by Green Works LLC. Green Works LLC will invest a massive AED 2.4 billion to build one of the key attractions of the Eco-Tourism World at Dubailand. Its key features include 16 different varieties of gardens from all across the world, a large outdoors amphitheatre Health Spa & Resort and Academy for 1,000 students.
'Al Barari', the project will be the first eco-friendly sustainable mixed-use development of its kind in the Middle East. Its concept revolves around botanical gardens that aim to bring the dream of green to Dubai. A fascinating diversity of the world's botany will be on display uniting different cultures and traditions. The gardens will be created in a manner that the natural vegetation of the land is protected, integrated and highlighted.

Green destination
Extending over 14.6 million square feet, Al Barari will truly be an oasis. It will feature 16 lush green segments boasting most types of flora from all corners. It will have themes that will cover organic and herb, Mediterranean, sculpture, tropical, European, bird and butterfly sculpture, Japanese, contemporary, Islamic, renaissance and classical music gardens.

Healing Haven -- Perhaps the only wellness retreat of its kind in the world, the Healing Haven with 88 secluded chalets, will offer an out-of-the-world combination of four healing institutes offering the best in traditional and new age medicine. This Arabian resort will combine conventional and natural medicines and exclusive spa treatments.

Amphitheatre – The outdoor event area will act as an art, cultural and heritage hub. It will offer musicals, concerts and plays and will house an art museum, a library, art exhibition hall, art material shops, a dance and drama school, galleries, restaurants and a grand ballroom. Al Barari will also benefit from a boarding school catering for 1000 students.

The Village Square – It will have small boutique shops, from the local grocer to the newspaper and coffee shops. The development will also benefit from jogging, walking and cycling tracks, tennis courts, swimming pools and a fitness centre.

Al Aman -- An elevated, 6-star, 120-suite, deluxe boutique hotel hidden in the midst of green gardens and azure lakes, will be an experience in tranquility. It will have luxurious suites and chalets, lounge bars and organic restaurants.

Al Nujoom – A high-end community of villas built to maximise natural light, space and optimum functionality. All will benefit from water frontage and individually designed gardens. Nature is the prime ingredient in the lifestyle make-up of the rustic homes.

Al Zeitoon -- Spread over a beautifully landscaped area, the 300-duplex and loft apartments in Al Zeitoon will have wide terraces, sunken pools, hanging gardens, shaded Arabian courtyards, gentle streams and scented gardens will add to the calming appeal of this eco-friendly apartment community.

Executive Chairman of Green Works said, 'We have brought together local and international investors as well as a dedicated team of experts to ensure the success of this project. Preparations have started already and we will make sure that any obstacles are dealt with by adopting the highest standards of quality and maintaining high levels of transparency between investors and buyers of this project.'
