Default Phase one of Al Barari project commences - 12-05-2007, 02:30 PM

The agreement was signed by Al Barari CEO, Miss Nadia Zaal, and Mr. Senan A.M. Al Naboodah, Assistant Group Managing Director, Al Naboodah Contracting (L.L.C)

'This secluded paradise will set a new benchmark for future developments in the UAE inspiring a new eco friendly lifestyle at a vast contrast to the concrete jungles of today's world. We aim to revolutionise industry standards, after three years of thorough research and planning the development is now underway and we have dedicated every moment to ensuring Al Barari is every bit as spectacular as the vision' said Al Barari CEO Nadia Zaal., who confirmed that Phase One of the masterpiece will involve the construction of 306 luxury residential villas, beginning February 2007.

Each of the 306 villas are a tribute to the very best in architecture and landscape design. The villas, consisting of five to seven bedrooms are all about indoor and outdoor living. Entire walls of glass opening up to scented courtyards and water features. Each home encompasses its own landscaped paradise with infinity pool, water features and outdoor massage area. Our roofs are 'turned upside down' made into usable areas with hanging gardens for living and entertaining, an ingenious solution to maximise wildlife sanctuary and botanical garden views. These homes are truly an integration of art and living. .

Mr. Senan A. M. Al Naboodah, Assistant Group Managing Director, Al Naboodah Contracting (L.L.C) - Building Division of Saeed and Mohammed Al Naboodah Group thanked Al Barari for its continued confidence in one of the UAE's leading contracting companies. 'We have been involved in this magnificent project from the early stages of this development. In fact, work already commenced for related infrastructure work by our group through Al Naboodah Engineering Services LLC. We are pleased to be continuing our partnership with Al Barari to take the project to the next level. As always, we will be managing the construction work within the set delivery schedule, and in accordance with Al Barari's highest quality standards.'

The scope of work includes the substructure, superstructure and full finishes, as well as the mechanical and electrical installations that will include a cutting edge home automation system. Earlier, Al Naboodah's Engineering Services LLC was commissioned to work on the construction of roads, IT and telecommunications infrastructure, and waterways; as well as water, irrigation, sewerage and drainage networks in Al Barari Development.

Al Barari is located in a prime location at the prestigious Nad Al Sheba, bordering a wildlife reserve ensuring unspoilt views stretching over 14 million square feet. The development comprises of the villa phase; an array of botanical gardens strategically located throughout the development, the 6 star boutique hotel, the healing haven wellness resort; a unique retail experience, luxurious Riyadh homes and a plant nursery.

The houses are absolutely awesome. They have 3 BBQ areas, out door showers, a plunge pool off the master bedroom. They are planning to use the finest materials.

You can go and see the tent on site. Apparently the Municipality would not let them start a show home only, so the tent is half way bewteen a house and a tent. The internal doors are all 3 metres high, it is incredible, and well worth the drive up there.

The family that are developing it are sometimes up there, very pleasant people.

Someone mentioned another development at the Lagoons, any idea when this might be selling?

The local Al-Naboodah Contracting has been awarded a AED 1,600 million ($436 million) contract to build 306 villas on the luxury Al-Barari development in Dubai. It is the second win for the Al-Naboodah group on the project. Located at Nad al-Sheba, the development will also include a luxury hotel, shops and a health resort. The client is Al-Barari Development Company (MEED 28:7:06).

The development and the amount of personal involvement from the family is amazing. The materials are of the finest and custom designs can be done as well. For example, in our place, we requested a punjabi style barbecue area instead of a traditional grill, as well as customized ceilings, they had no problem at all as long as we submitted the drawings. Really looking forward to this one!

That's what they said about the Ranches when it was selling for 550 / ft! Look ast it now, much more than double that. Barari will be right in the best part of Dubai land, next to the reserve, and 10 minutes from Business Bay and the Lagoons....enough said me thinks!

I know what you mean Andrew. A lot of the information that comes out of Dubai is non-sensical! I've always found better information being in Dubai than out of it. Plus, a lot of the commercial rate information seems to be very top-level as the mall's keep this kind of stuff close to their chest.

I've found some basic info, not much help, but gives a top level idea:
Dubai yields better returns on commercial investments - Dubai Real Estate News Blog - UAE Property Market Trends and Reviews

Plus, for Batutta mall, might be best to call them:
LEASING INFORMATION

Sorry can't be of much more help - another idea though is to look through the Gulf News and Khaleej Times classifieds section for adverts. That might help.

Good luck.
