UAE Property Investment Forum

Jumeirah Islands Jumeirah Islands consists of a total of 50 island clusters covering 300 hectares of land and encompassing 736 villas, 184 apartments and 104 townhouses surrounded by waterfalls, lagoons, and gardens. Envisaged to be an exclusive and upmarket residential community, Jumeirah Islands (at some levels) have failed to deliver. Nakheel had come under bad press for their quality of build, but the voices have died down. Are you still angry or upset over the build quality? Do you own one of the villas? Are there any pending issues that still need to be heard? Voice your opinion here.

Default It’s Jumeirah Park after Jumeirah island - 28-02-2007, 01:02 PM

Nakheel, the UAE's leading real estate developer, has launched the fourth member of its Jumeirah family: Jumeriah Park.
The development joins Nakheel's current portfolio of Jumeirah communities - Jumeirah Islands, Jumeirah Village, and Jumeirah Golf Estates.

Centrally located within 'new Dubai', between Sheikh Zayed Road Interchange 5 and 6, Jumeirah Park is a secure, integrated and family orientated residential community spreading over 370 hectares. The community comprises more than 2,000 three, four and five-bedroom villas combined with expansive parks, eco-friendly green spaces and family orientated amenities. Villas are designed to meet the needs of the modern family, with an emphasis on open plan living, and include private terraces and gardens, private spacious double garages, and individual temperature controlled swimming pools for four and five bedroom villas, which will also be available for purchase with three bedroom villas. Villas range in size from 3595 sq ft to 5509 sq ft, and prices will start from AED 2.4 million. Construction is due to begin early 2007, and the project is scheduled for completion in 2009.

A fully integrated community, facilities within Jumeirah Park include a children’s' day care centre, children’s' play area, and kindergarten through to secondary school. At the heart of the development will be a community centre, featuring a department store, bank, post office, pharmacy and cafes, as well as a shopping centre including a variety of restaurants. In addition to on-site security, there will be police and fire stations within the development, and a clinic and a hospital within a few minutes drive. There will also be a Jumaa Masjid and a number of local masjids.

True to the development's park theme, there is a strong emphasis on outdoor lifestyle. There will be jogging, walking and cycling trails as well as outdoor exercise areas, a gym, and the community clubhouse will feature tennis courts for the exclusive use of residents. The development will also include a number of eco-friendly features including hi-tech waste recycling facilities, and environmentally friendly building methods, including insulated building materials.

Chris O'Donnell, Nakheel Chief Executive, said: 'Each of the Jumeirah family is distinctive in identity, but what unites these developments is the combination of premier location with quality living, and Jumeirah Park is no exception. It is a project that is faithful to Nakheel's core values - bold, innovative and with close attention to quality of detail. Jumeirah Park will be the perfect community for families looking to enjoy an integrated community at the heart of Dubai's most desirable district.'

Yousuf Kazim, Senior General Manager Jumeirah Islands, Jumeirah Village & Jumeirah Park, said: 'There is currently strong demand in Dubai for high-end villas situated within a family-friendly community. Jumeirah Park is a key part of meeting that demand; the villas themselves are spacious, with a flexible open plan design ensuring that residents can adapt their home to meet their family's needs, while its excellent location means attractions such as Ibn Battuta Mall, The Palm Jumeirah, and Burj Al Arab are a short drive away. This, combined with the wealth of on-site facilities and green open spaces, means that Jumeirah Park is set to become one of Dubai's leading residential communities.'

Sales for the development were launched today at the Nakheel Sales Centre, located on Al Sufouh Road, at the foot of The Palm Jumeirah. In addition to this, Chris O'Donnell, Nakheel Chief Executive, today officially launched a new Nakheel Sales Centre located in the China Court of Ibn Battuta Mall. Open 7 days-a-week from 10:00 - 22:00, the new centre provides current and potential customers a convenient alternative for purchasing Nakheel properties, and an easily accessible information point for receiving the latest updates on Nakheel's projects.
