Default In love with Wind Tower - 19-05-2007, 03:36 PM

Hi there,
What's going on with the delay at Wind towers ?
It looks like the investment is good for those who can wait until its completion in 2009. For sure when it is completed (because it will), the ROI will be high. I believe we just need to be patient, and wait. For those who can't afford to wait, then they should just try and sell it out because the tower will not be completed in 2008; I was on site yesterday, looked at it, work is on progress, but obviously still lagging behing neighboring towers. A great thing about Wind is its design and its location (next to the JLT metro station!). If any of you are depressed and can't wait for it to be built and are ready to sell it out with minimum margin just let me know, I will be able to find a buyer.

This one is just the topping on the cake.... "it will be built because it will be". Now threes a perfect reason why everyone should invest rapidly and buy a few more units each!!

"Try and sell....". Have you seen the market and Wind resales? If you want to be the guardian of Wind investors, just search the web and there are lots of Wind apartment up for grabs! Take you pick.

Yes, I was there a few days ago and guess what??!! They have lots of towers in London… When they start building towers, they are a lot more structurally complex and they get done within a few months.

If your waiting for the progress report then dream on. You will get a one line reply and then there will be another test to proceed this test, and another one to follow on from that one. Then the contractor will need more permits, the site will have a flood, the weather will be too hot for the workers, the Chinese contractor will somehow become further involved, the machine will hit a rock (and break down!), the material costs will continue to rise, etc, etc… and before you now it – POP!!

We understand your anger and a lot of what you say now is true.

There is delay after delay and excuse after excuse. Who believes that the first floor will be built in June or July...April is only 10 days away. No way.

We have 2 years experience of Wind we must have learnt by now.

JLT is looking beautiful. There are 20 towers which are beyond the 15th floor. However, apartments are trading at a low premium already. When Wind is finally built in 2009 there will be no premium.

It will be the worst investment of your life. However, as a home it will be good if you can wait. You will be messed about until completion.

The silence of the WSP is very noisy. The lack of dates is very telling. A lack of answers tells you that things will be father beyond schedule and a completion date of October 2008 (according to wind.net) is unrealistic.

I wish you all the best of luck. Crazy Horse is now a Wise Owl.

Nice one... I like it. All yee non- believers, listen up, listen up..... joking'.

Anyway, I saw a mail some time back where someone (maybe JBA??!!) went round and saw some materials for the build. I have worked for a large petro chem engineering and construction company for over 13 years now (KBR inc.) and Wind really are pissing in the wind here. No one, but no one, buys all materials up front and stores them. This is just not effective or worthwhile because of changes, storage and transport problems. Now, the material rates have sky rocketed and its a totally different story. the longer the build gets delayed, the more expensive the material will be and the less chances of ever seeing anything.

Did someone mention the building permit has not been issued?? Amazing..!! Next the master developer will turn around and tell us that Wind are squatters and are illegally occupying the land.

What has the First Timer and the following action committee done about the further delays, etc??? I would like to hear from someone what the progress is.
