Some concerns about the Hanover investment. When exactly was Hanover Square launched and at what rate per sqft for the 1BR units ? Has anyone checked out physically if the construction has started ? Does ACW mention the 20 year leaseback in the contract, and what happens when the initial buyer sells the property on, is there a separate contract made for the leaseback with the new owner? How much is their management fee, when the property becomes operational? Anyone here selling 1BR apartments at Hanover? Does anyone have the exact location map of this property?

The Hanover and Kensington projects both look very prospective BUT it disturbs me to see that a company handling projects of immense value, actually uses an ordinary forum like this one to make 'clarifications' to its investors; doesnt sound very professional to me. In harmony with its reassuringly professional policy, I would have expected direct contact from them or announcements on its website. I know most of us in here would like to remain optimistic about our investments, but doesnt the above thought cross your minds? A RERA registration doesn't say much. Whats the update on the construction?

Dear All I recently contacted ACW with regards to construction works in Jumeirah Village and was advised of the following: ACW Holdings were handed over the plots for development on 11th and 18th November 2007. All plans have been approved for the developments. Soil testing has been carried out. Since late last year ACW Holdings and its consultants Messrs. Al Hawraa have been waiting for Ellisdon, the consultant arm of Nakheel to allow them to start excavation works with there chosen company GEO foundation. So far this year Ellisdon have changed requirements twice, first on the 12th February and second on the 16th March. According to the consultants all our proposals and plans etc meet the requirements and were therefore resubmitted. We are again waiting for confirmation from Ellisdon to proceed. Jumeirah Village itself has currently only a couple of projects started with Excavation works, one from Damac, sold in 2005. There are cranes on the Master Development putting in the infrastructure, sewerage pipes etc but to date no roads are laid. ACW Holdings and its consultants are chasing to start works on a daily basis as it is in both their and their client's interests to move as quickly as possible. At this time ACW are unable to give a start date but would confirm that all funds paid are protected and are held in an Escrow account with Dubai Islamic bank.

Hi True Have you tried confronting ACW directly about this? I would probably be quite concerned too if someone sent me a private message like yours. However, personally I would need to see something a bit more conclusive before I start panicking. As it stands there is no real evidence to support these allegations, therefore I can only assume that someone out there is trying to scare you.

Hi there, I have contacted ACW a few days ago in regards to this matter, but as of yet I have not had a response. As soon as I do get a response, I will let you guys know. Still feeling pretty worried! As its alot of money to loose! Would RERA registration gaurantee any security on my investment??

hi everyone i have bought 6 apartments in 3 of their projects with them. i feel that I need to inform everyone here as I have been to their office in dubai. They have a showroom in sk zaid rd and a office in jabel ali and are very professional people. i would advice anyone buying from acw holdings to expect very good service. I went to dubai because i was investing alot of my money i was also scarred putting so much money with this company too. all my money that i have been paying is in escrow account which means that the dubai government is looking after my money. i also visited the rera office in dubai and they assured me that as long as the developer & project is registered with them everything is protected by the dubai government. http://rpdubai.ae/rpdubai/jsp/templa...=10011&&lang=0 i would not decide on what is said on this website as it is public website for general info not facts please go visit the company personaly if you have douts.

But does rera registration mean that there is NO RISK if the company go bust??! ACG seem to have gone bust from what ive read in the articles! What if they go bust again under the new name of ACW?? What did RERA say exactly? All of this is very worrying!

I recently went to their property exhibition in London and reserved a 1 bed AED 734,958 with 533 sq ft. They had well educated consultants, building models and information available about the area & project was well explained to me which was missing from other exhibitions I have been to. I was confused reading through the posts but I think khan66 your update makes lot of sense. I am planning to go to Dubai on end of April to check out my investment & property market in Dubai. I have booked an appointment with Skycom Investments in Dubai to meet their sales staff for a tour of Arjan where I have bought. I will inform you guys when I am back in May Sheikh
