Hello all I'm in the UK and looking at buying in this development off plan. I’m interested to invest in Knightsbridge Court in South Jumeirah Village. Project has been launched recently in January, 2007. As ever it's a bit nerve racking when you are about to cough up large %'s. Does anyone have any opinion about the development or ACW Holdings who are the developers? Also, is it a good area to be in to be able to walk to things such as coffee bars and restaurants?

We bought not on the same development, but similar. Glamorous Dubai advertising on the UK tv channels finally got us to take the plunge!! We're hoping that it's going to be as good as the glossy brochures and the ads!! But we have paid the 15% deposit, and are still awaiting the receipt! the next payment of 10% is also due soon. I guess that's how Dubai works. We've emailed the developers a number of times asking for receipt, but it's only gone back and forth with no conclusion. Lets see how my last email goes......

Good Evening to you all Hope you are all well ? Just joined this forum [newbie], hoping to find some queries answered as well as recieving good information from fellow forum members . I have just put a deposit down on the Knightsbridge Court appartment and we are awaiting the first stage of the documents to arrive .Can anybody tell me if these should be checked over with a UK Solicitor ? [Will probably do this anyway] Rhumour has it that the company are legite enough and have agood reputation. Has anybody had any advice on setting up an account to make the staged payments & is the contract exchange easy enough. We have so many questions regarding the legal side of the transaction , but presume all will be okay. The development in Knightsbridge look good on the website & Brochure although I cant find any info on the acwholding company & or Sky Investments Krgds Eck ![]()

Hi all, i am currently due to make the first 10% of payments, but have not had some key questions answered...can anybody answer them? 1)Who are ACW holding? 2)Who is the owner?....we were told that it was some local sheikh...giving us the impression that is a Dubai owned company....but looking at their registered office this is in the British Virgin Islands...hence there is some contradiction....and law differences 3)I and several other investors have asked about the owner, and nobody has answered...except to tell us the general manager is Ian Pask...WHY? 4)If this company was to pack in, what proof do we have that we are investors, except a initial deposit registration form. Who do we show this to, not exactly a british company, or by the looks of it a Dubai company. 5)and has anybody purchased a property from ACW HOLDINGS, and has their final contract to the point of completion. am awaiting any replies

This is a message from ACW Holdings Ltd , the developer of Hanover Square, Knightsbridge Court and Kensington Manor, to all on this forum. We invite anybody who wishes to receive correct and accurate information on us and our developments to contact us directly on info@acwholdings.com It is a shame that people like JOHN above (I am sure not his real name) post comments such as this. We make it clear here that both Skycom Investments and Rank properties are sister companies of ours. We also point out that this is stated very clearly on our website. We are not collecting money from people by telling any lies. (this is stated by John who clearly has no idea about our business). We follow all UAE laws as you would expect us to as we are developing in the UAE. We are a professional business, run by professional Management with experience in the sales, marketing and development of property and employ excellent staff with good customer services standards far above those normally associated with developers in Dubai. Please do contact us direct on info@acwholdings.com and ignore any silly and unhelpful comments posted here. THE ACW TEAM

Hi ACW Holdings I know that you have asked for all queries to be emailed to you directly, but in this forum as we have many investors, it would help if you could answer some general questions which every one can read here. The question I have is that you state that you follow all UAE laws as expected of from a developer. In my mind this means being RERA registered and having escrow account in place. Please can you tell us if you have these. Many thanks Rgds --mainhead

Further to the last question on this forum. ACW Holdings is currently in the process of registering with the RERA and will have completed this process by the end of the month of December 2007 as required. Escrow accounts will follow as per Dubai Law. As mentioned before any questions are welcome at: info@acwholdings.com THE ACW TEAM
