The Lakes The Lakes - a luxurious residential suburb surrounded by lush landscaping, community parks and some of the best leisure facilities in the city. Kept relatively low-profile, the Lakes has never been up for sale. It was Emaar's very few projects that was only offered for rental. As a result, there were very few issues with the project and tenants have been very happy with their rentals. Are you a tenant in the Lakes? What is it like living there? Have Emaar justified their investment within this project and delivered on their promises? Share your thoughts.

An hour ago I was again in that new marina area to have a closer look. It came into my mind that I’ve never been to the lakes, springs, meadows,... before. just one time to visit the sales center with my father who was thinking about buying a house there. but you can't imagine how much this area has grown since last winter. unbelievable!!!

trances, sa boy and all you Dubai guys, go get there. this is a huge building site that you get the impression it will never end. wow!!!!!!

I took some photos down there. will post them later, as imagestation has problems at this time.

I live in The lakes and its the best place to be, very friendly and community orientated, with great facilities.
All the oictures you have are from the public roads and around the back by the springs which are nearly completed. Try to get into an estate and you will be amazed at the place, so green and established

Yes, I also think this is a nice place, especially when everything is finished. but there are some things I don't like: all houses look the same. they are too close to each other. the garden is very small. you look against a wall. windows are too small. for many Europeans this not the best place to live, but the whole area is very nice, quiet and peaceful with it's lakes, trees and so on.

I myself can't imagine to live right in the middle of such a huge cluster.

the same about Arabian ranches. it's the same concept, quite all houses are of the same design.

Emmar has just offered it's residents that rent its properties at the Lakes the option to buy them... But this has not gone public yet. So it looks like things are moving at the Lakes !!!
