UAE Property Investment Forum

Palm Jebel Ali The middle-sized of the three Palm Islands, Palm Jebel Ali is 50% larger than Palm Jumeirah. It aims to create an entertainment destination catering to both residents and tourists away from the actual city of Dubai. However, the project has been greatly delayed and investor money has been blocked. Prices on certain projects have shot up on the island, but actual returns vary. Have you invested on the Palm Jebel Ali, or did you manage to flip and get a return? Will it be as successful as Palm Jumeirah? What about the technical pitfalls? Share your views and opinions here.

The Palm Jebel Ali is more of an entertainment destination for both adults and children. The island will also be 50% larger than The Palm Jumeirah, and will include six marinas, a 'Sea Village', a water theme park and water homes built on stilts between the fronds and the crescent. Construction began on this island in October 2002 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2007.

Enviably located in a prime location on Palm Jebel Ali's crescent, Palm Springs is the apex of aspiration living. Having commissioned award-winning architects, we have created an architectural tour de force. Our apartments offer two and three bedrooms, all with balconies that offer magnificent, uninterrupted sea and waterscape views.

Situated elegantly between two world-class hotels, our building, which is managed by a prestigious international hotel chain, boasts a wealth of superlative amenities. A unique and exclusive residential property on Palm Jebel Ali, Palm Springs is the zenith of desire.

Visions for now well more than that the density and space and usage is very much planned the actual design of the buildings are yet to be considered in detail

I still have reservations about this Palm as it’s too far from the city, has no support network on the land (i.e. roads totally inadequate, no infrastructure and factories on the side of jebel Ali). I cant see all the towers happening just yet and I think the city will have to expand past Jebel Ali to allow this development to become integrated into the city as apposed to a stand alone development.
