| Hi, I have been reading a lot about Dubai and investing in property over there. I live in Ireland (where property prices are extortionate) and would be interested in investing overseas with my sister. From what we have researched there seems to be a good potential return on investment over there. However, we do not know anybody in person who has invested and I am now looking for practical advice. What area in Dubai is the best for investment? What is the process for investing? Can I do it all from here or do I need to complete over there? What is the best type of property for rental purposes i.e. 2 bed apartment, villa, house? Do I obtain my mortgage here or over there? I do not currently own a property and have never invested in property before so any advice on the pros and cons would be great! To retain my first time buyer's relief, we would propose to purchase the property in my sister's name (as she already owns property here) and I would contribute 50% to the mortgage, legal costs etc.. | I thought you may be interested in this, I have recently purchased 3 properties in Dubai. It all depends on what type of property you are looking, what sort of investment, and what quality of property. Is it just for investment, or to let, or to live in? |

| Hi, We're really looking to invest. We live in Ireland and so would be looking at buying a 2 or 3 bed apartment to let. We'd like a good quality apartment in a nice area. From reading the newspapers and doing some research it seems that Dubai has good investment potential. What kind of properties did you purchase and why? (if you don't mind me asking - we're really looking for ideas at this point!) Many Thanks! |

| Hi Kristopher, There are a wide range of projects available in Dubai for the investor. As there are so many we need to focus a little more on some other elements: 1 how much you wish to spend 2 will you be requiring finance or all cash deal ( finance deals bring with it certain ramifications that need to be discussed at the beginning) 3 As you will be looking to rent out the apartment I would just like to clairfy if you are looking to efffect the purchase now and hence have all monies ready now or you would prefer an investment that will be completed more in the future for later rentals. 4 Do you have a preference for location . We have marinas , sports cities, amusement parks and business centres all with accomodation units. 5 would you consider options just on the borders of Dubai that have not yet experienced the astronomical growth but it is firmly believed by many will be excellent investments such as RAK for example? | Hi, I have the same question. I want to invest in a flat that is in a beginning of construction. I have not much money, but there is an interesting program of reduced payment (15% first pay, 50%till the end of construction ect), I have seen it before in the internet, but can not find it now. I would be glad if you can give some highlites to get those companies. Many thanks! |
