UAE Property Investment Forum

Ajman Property Ajman was the second Emirate to follow suit after Ras Al Khaimah to open up its property market to foreigners. 15 freehold residential projects were announced initially, and one of the largest development being announced by Tameer. Ajman property prices have been lagging behind the other Emirates of Dubai and Sharjah, and investor uptake has been average with the limited exposure Ajman has got overseas. However, residential uptake has been good with people being priced out of Dubai and Sharjah. If you have a story to tell about Ajman, or have invested there, or just want to share your opinion, shout it out here.

Default The Emirates City - 13-03-2007, 04:47 PM

R Holdings launched the Emirates City, a lavish town sized development located in the Emirate of Ajman.
The project being built at a cost of AED 15 billion is part of a range of projects currently under development that has been designed to expand and augment the economic progress of Ajman.

Located at just a 20 minute drive from Dubai International Airport, this modern development sits directly on the Emirates Road, which is strategically linked to the other emirates of Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The project consists of around 72 residential and commercial properties and is expected to encompass picturesque lakes and green parks, a shopping district, mosques, five star hotels, educational and medical facilities.

"Emirates City is one of several significant developments that are part of the ongoing maturity of the property sector in the UAE, which is enabling for us to provide a world class standard of living that is unbeatable anywhere."

"What we are creating here is a development that is unique in the field of property investment. The social and economic benefit that this city will produce for Ajman and its neighboring emirates is immeasurable; The Emirates City is literally a city wide development that all people from a variety of classes and walks of life can benefit from.

"Here they will be able to take advantage of a standard of living in a residential environment, which provides a first class lifestyle that includes health care and learning facilities of the highest international standards."

"In the Emirates City, there will be more than twenty five towers breaking ground in the first phase; the downtown area coming at a later phase will contain a shopping mall featuring all branded retail outlets. Furthermore, the city's five-star hotel will be more than a place to stay; it will have excellent dinning facilities and a swimming pool.

"Here, people will be able to live in a place that provides good security and welfare, which comes at an affordable price with no compromise in quality. For this project we have worked with the biggest and the best developers.

"People are looking for affordable prices away from the traffic and the noise, while having easy access to their work; all those elements and more will be available in the Emirates City," added Dr. Al Samerai.

The development will include 72 residential and commercial towers that will be conducted in a phase manner. The towers range between 20 and 50 floors and will all have access to stunning park and lake views. The project will be freehold and available to all nationalities.

Every emirate (other than AD) seems to be wanting to fast foward to where Dubai is today... what they forget is the steps Dubai took in the mid 90s before the construction boom occured.. that is improving and cleaning the city.. the transportation, the landscaping of existing areas, widening of the roads etc. Ajman has a lot of work to do just like RAK before these projects can be a success

You are right. Ajman seriously needs to develop the roads especially and also cleanliness. These two are the main ones currently.

Starting construction activities at the major development, R Holdings has entrusted PilingTech to complete the piling work for the first phase, which includes more than 30 towers of different structural designs and sizes.

PilingTech expressed their delight in being awarded the key project, which will be a landmark development in the region due to its size and prominence within the property sector. The company has now begun the piling work of the first phase after finishing all activities related to soil testing.

The Emirates City project will include 72 residential and commercial properties set amongst picturesque lakes and parks, a shopping district, mosques, five star hotels, educational and medical facilities.

The commencement of piling work at The Emirates City marks the launch of the first phase of construction at the site. This will include the breaking of ground for more than twenty five tower blocks.

Dr. Ahmed Al Samerai, executive board member of R Holdings, spoke of the importance of meeting and exceeding the expectations of investors and future residents.

'We have received so much interest in The Emirates City from retailers, investors and future residents that we cannot possibly let these people down by not meeting our deadlines. The commencement of piling this week is a significant step in meeting our commitments to our clients.'

Which project would you say is a better investment and better place to live?
Emirate City or Ajman Uptown?

Also, do you know of any other development that is offering Villas aside from Ajman Uptown ?

Thanks
